Don't by the kits they're very expensive. That is not a proper swage tool, it's a nicropress and shouldn't be used on lifelines. Those wire cutters won't work for you, too small and will mash the wire making it hard to insert into the fittings. You can buy the covered wire and fittings. Cut the wire, strip the cover back and have a sail loft swage it for you. That's what I did, use same wire size top and middle. Get SS316 wire. Next time I'll measure and get one of the better rigging shops to build. I don't like the the jobs sail lofts do, they don't have the best equipment and the swage looks like a banana. A good swage job you don't see any crimp marks and it's straight.
