I have to replace the hose that keeps the pennant from jamming and wonder if anyone can provide me with both the outside dimensions and length of this hose?
Also what length of 3/8" pennant line is required?

Thanks

I used 18" of 1" ID Spa hose. It is juuust flexible enough to bend over the top of the board, but still big enough not to slip over the side. Waterborn has been back in the water for ~3 months and no problems to date.

I believe I bought 30ft of 3/8" from Great Lakes Rigging & Supply in Ohio for the pennant.

I just got hauled out and the yard replaced the centerboard pennant but they didn't use 3/8 line. I think they used 7/16. The board jams about 2/3 of the way when you lift it and it looks like the line is getting jammed. We are back in the water so I can't get a real good look at it. Is it possible to replace the pennant while the boat is still in the water just by pulling the old one up? Would 7/16 vs 3/8 cause the jamming?

Has anyone considered using 6mm dyneema or amsteel as a pennant for the centreboard? The splices are easily done, it won't break and chaffing is minimal with the hose. On deck you can cover the hand held tail portion with polyester casing sewn and whipped at each end.
