I am reconfiguring my head / holding tank. One thing I would like to do is remove the cleat in front of the tank and push it as far forward as it will reasonably go. I want to make some room on the back of the shelf for a pump. Has anyone messed with this set up or does anyone know why Tartan has the tank protruding into the hanging locker? Thanks

My tank doesn't go into my hanging locker, but the hoses do. What cleat are you talking about?

There is a block of wood screwed to the shelf that stops the tank from moving forward. There is about 10" of space in front of the tent and the aft corner of the tank protrudes into the hanging locker. I'll try and post a picture tomorrow. It sounds like there is no good reason for this and I should be okay moving it. Thanks

I call the block of wood a cleat (I think it is a woodworking term).

That's what through me off calling it a cleat. What do you mean by "tent"?

It should say tank, not tent. Sorry
