Hello Everyone,

My pennant line frayed this year and I will be replacing it. I'm just curious what type of line to go with and what lasts the longest? I have a good length of heavy braid Dynema I can use, but I am a little hesitant as it is somewhat stiff.

Thanks ... and Happy and Healthy 2017 to all of you! Cheers

I use New England Ropes Sta-Set. I forget the size but I think it is 1/2". I have replaced the pennant twice in about 18 years of ownership. The first time, about 12-13 years ago, the pennant was frayed to just about the point of parting. I don't know what kind of line was used. The second time was the year before last and the NER pennant that I took out had little wear at all. It is the same line I use for all my running rigging and I have been disappointed any time I have been "lured" at the boat show to try something cheaper.
