Us northerns have LOTS of time to get these projects out of the way. While under shrinkwrap, I had intended to throw some clear sealant at a drip but instead ended up here......
My vberth hatch was replaced at some point with a Bomar 100-series but it leaked this summer (my first with the boat). Although they did a pretty good job, they didn't fully cut the hole larger to match the frame size. It works but the side hatch dogs don't close as the fiberglass hole is simply too small.
I've pulled the whole thing out and am cleaning up the glass work and have cut some notches in to accomodate the side hatch dogs and will use a rasp to give me a nice, smooth surface then will paint the whole thing.
The hatch itself has been sent to the powder coat shop and new lexan has been ordered. The hatch will be bedded with Sika Flex 291 LOT. The new lexan will be installed by priming with Sika Flex 209D then bedded with 295UV.
