I need (want) to replace my standing rigging. Many many miles away from the boat. Does anyone have the specs for all standing rigging dimensions? length, wire diameter? thank you.

I was going to take on that project next year. If anyone has an address/phone number of a company that I can order standing rigging that won't break my pocket please let me know.

My Forward Lowers are 1/4" wire, 24' 6-3/4" pin to pin
Aft Lowers 1/4" wire, 24' 8-3/4" pin to pin
From Rigging Only in Mass, 508-992-0434, was $586 total

I got my Uppers from Defender and liked the quality much better, did those a couple of years ago and don't have my measurements anymore.

Please check our rigging before ordering, there were some variants.

Defender was about $1,000 for the back stay and port & stbd. Seemed to be a fairly good price, fast service.

Defender was the same price and I was much happier with their work. The company they use is Sailing Services in Miami, but you don't save any by going direct. It is harder ordering thru a 3rd party.

They use a better machine, doesn't leave a seam when they roll the swage (check there website). They put 5200 or similar compound in the swage, this keeps water out from going inside and freezing & cracking the swage. Also the swages were perfectly straight, the lowers had a very slight banana to them. Still a sat product from Rigging Only, just like the finish better from Defender. If you're using mechanic fitting, then the sagging doesn't matter. The wire and hardware very similar.

Also use a local rigger/sailmaker for lifelines and won't do that again. They don't have the best machine, left a big seam, bad banana shape and cost a lot for swaging, about $15/swag. I'll order pin-to-pin next time.

If tight on budget you can reuse the turnbuckles. Just give them a good look over. Will save 20%.

Thinking with new turnbuckles, everything replaced but the headstay was under $1,600

Yeah, Defender has Sailing Services do the swage fittings: they (Sailing Services) are sort of the "gold standard". I hesitated on replacing turnbuckles (fresh water boat), but was convinced by guys with lots of knowledge and no financial interest that they should be replaced at the same time as the standing rigging. If you've got roller furling, that should probably be disassembled and inspected: I found the locking cone missing on mine.

Will post all the gory details including pictures when done.
Speaking with the people at Rigging Only they tell me a turn around time from order to delivery is just a few days.
We'll see.

Mast is already down so should be easier. Going with Hayn Hi-Mod mechanicals on lower end, swage tops.
