Thank you. How did you wire the water witch?

Wired to the main panel with a manual/automatic switch, at the very end I will usually switch to manual for a few seconds to get the very little last bit out of the bottom of the pan.

What we have is a 3-way valve in the bilge. One goes to the shower sump/ice box drain. One to the bilge and other to the Jabsco water puppy pump, that's located behind the nav seat. Mine is also wired in a 3-way switch, on main panel between meters and breakers. It's auto (Rule bilge)-off-manual (water puppy). Works well, the water puppy is very low in bilge and gets it very dry. Also anyone replacing bilge auto-switch. Look at the Junior Ultra Bilge Switch, I've had the same one over 20 years, made in USA. Zero maintenance. Has clamps to mount to the Rule pump. Fact more boats burn up from faulting bilge switches, than any other cause.

I rigged a new float switch last year and used my original shower sump pump wiring on the 12V panel, with separate manual/auto switch. The original PAR pump was mounted directly to the bulkhead on the backside (aft) behind the port quarter berth. This is the most difficult place on the T37 to work so rather than move the pump to a new location I rebuilt the old pump which had failed (due to freezing because I didn't winterize and water sat in the pump and cracked the housing) and placed it on a proper mount in the same location because I'm a total glutton for punishment. Once I had it installed and I was congratulating myself for the extra self-flagellation, I tested the pump only to notice a big leak coming into the bilge. So, I had to re-test by filling the sump and racing down into the depths before the pump stopped to see where the leak was coming from. It was from the old brass vent loop which is mounted in an even worse location. So, I tried fixing it (stupid) instead of replacing it with a new fitting because I like extra punishment. After that fix failed, I shelled out more money for a new Maleron vent loop, installed it, and it works a charm. The only downside is that the pump still cycles when the sump is dry which means I probable need to raise the sensor a bit. Pic taken before I replaced the vent loop...
