Ok, does anyone know what the original bulb in the anchor light was? I know it is a very small glass envelope and bayonet type with two contacts on the base, and draws maybe 0.65 amps at 12 volts. I'm trying to confirm (before I go back up the mast) if the bulb base is identical to the BA15D type used in the original salon fixtures. Or is it a different bulb base?

Thanks for whatever information you've got!

I don't have it at the moment, but you want to have BOTH versions with you when you go up. One has the bayonet nubs directly across from each other and the other has them offset. This from experience trying to force the offset ones into a straight bayonet receiver. For way longer than I should have.

Or look at LED replacements. I went LED for the masthead.

Check out Marinebeam.com for replacement LED bulbs. I replaced my aqua signal tri-light/anchor , steaming light and deck light last winter. luckily the mast was on the ground. Their prices were good.

File comment: Not sure if this is your light - but, this is from a 1980 T37. I am the new owner and pulled the stick this Winter to inspect and upgrade mast items. Bulb is a #90 Ba15d socket. If you replace with LED remember the bulbs have polarity and rest operation before you reinstall the mast.
