All thru hulls coming out- suggestions?

I'm trying to figure out whether the thru hulls installed in the boat since they are flush/faired into the hull are the recessed type with a taper on the back or if they are the flat mushroom style just a bit recessed into a flat spot into the hull.

Mine or factory? Factory are flat, very slightly tapered and installed in receivers that were part of the hull mold. I cut those out (5 of them) and fiberglassed the hull flush with 7-8 layers of biax and re-cut the holes and installed new mushroom thru hulls backed on the inside with 1/2" thick x 3.5" G10 discs pushed from the inside into West System spooge. Either 404 or 406 or a mix, since I had both. The hull at each location is now 3/4 to 1.25" thick.

Nice work. I have a 1982 Tartan 37 that needs the engine raw water thru hole replaced when you replaced yours, was there any balsa core anywhere near that that spot. The Eng is original factory install.
