Actually there is a date; May 9th. My winter projects have included installing an electric anchor windlass, a Raymarine Auto Pilot, relocating my propane tank locker, removing the roller furling boom and replacing it with a stock boom, and the myriad of small jobs associated with purchasing an older boat. At last I'm finally on to the cosmetics of sprucing her up for a season of sailing.

Another season and she'll be "just right" so keeping in tradition I'll probably sell it when I've run out of things to do.

So far it's been a nice boat and I look forward to a season of New England sailing

Wondering what autopilot you opted for? Below deck or wheel?

Raymarine X-5. She is slightly undersized for the boat but will be fine for my purposes; I'm a weekend warrior and the autopilot will be mostly for motoring, singlehanded rigging, and add to that that I do sail with a balanced rig so there won't be much stress on it at all; I've sailed plenty with just the balanced rig without having to tend to the wheel at all. I've noted that you do need the board down for a better balanced rig.

My one voyage other than a daysail will be a simple overnighter heading from NH to downeast Maine. If my future calls for long trips (and in this boat), I will replace it with a below deck model or go with a windvane.
