The rubber tip on my shift lever broke because the rubber was old. Any suggestions on where to obtain a new one? I have a W50, but assume that the same lever was used for a while. My T37 is a 1981.

PS - The lever is fine, but the rubber tip is now taped on with rigging tape and needs to be replaced.

Ours is '81 but we have a black (grey now) plastic end to the lever. No rubber.

Thanks guys. I went to the Edson website and yes, it is a plastic tip (not rubber) which explains why the original broke off in the middle I guess. They wanted $10 each but a minimum order of $20 is required plus about $14 of shipping. So I called my marine store and they are placing the order for me along with their other Edson orders, and I can still get it for $10.

So thanks for the advice. Not sure why I never thought of Edson as the source, since I of course have an Edson pedestal. Duh. Smile

PS - Yes, I noticed that Edson still had a good price on the throttle and shift levers. And guess what? Your cruise control looks EXACTLY like mine. Smile Works good though, and weathers well.
