Wire Direct to Battery Mod Help?

Hello, I need some help from the group. I am modifying my engine wiring so the charging wire from the alternator is direct to the battery and not run up to the amp meter, which I am replacing with a volt meter. Attached is the original wiring diagram that show the modification. I have read all the posts on this subject but I am still unsure if this is correct. I was hoping that someone in the group that has done this or is a relative electrical expert can review this and let me know.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I intended to run a positive ( using one of the existing #10 as you noted) to the key switch first then onto the other items that required a positive current while the engine was running and key on. This would avoid having anything active when the key switch it off. Does that sound ok?

Also as a clarification for readers, the green hatches indicate the wire is taken out of the active circuit but not necessarily removed, just abandon in place.
