So, pulling through hulls here I see I have two strainers(Have not started engine yet--project boat). One up and one down stream of the water pump. Do you suppose this is because the PO was worried about impeller failure? I'm planning to simplify here, dislike the reducers and expanders used to plumb this contraption. Any other observations or suggestions?

Yeah, way different from my W50. Hopefully someone familiar with the 40 will chime in. Wish I could be more help.

Yes it is a 40. I noticed the remote oil filter set up, boy is that sweet. Next time I'm down at the boat I'll check if I have the room there to install.
