The exchanger has end caps on both ends with nuts. The forward end won't go on because the raw water pump mount is in the way. Yes, I got the 15" exchanger, correct configuration, but the nut is in the way by the size of the head.

Any way anyone has anyone run into and resolved this? I'd like to use it, but cleaned out the old heat exchanger (with the rubber end cap) as a spare. The old one - someone had either left the raw water turned off or sucked up some seaweed - and the vacuum caused the cap end to collapse slightly. I straightened it, it will work, the cap lines up O.K., but I'd rather put this new one on and save the old one

You must have the Sherwood pump. My install with the Jabsco went on easy.

Mr. Cool Part No. 15799-15. It's the right one for my W-50. And I have the Jabsco pump. I may grind a little away on the pump bracket. We're talking about 3/16" here. It's simply the bolt on the cap on the forward end. Weird. This shit only happens to me.

No, this kind of thing happens to all of us. You just post about it more reliably.
