The rear crank bearing seal and the inaccessible oil pan bolts are the usual culprits for leaks in the W50. However, the leaks produced are typically small (on the order of a cup or less every 10 hours ) and are mostly when the engine is actually running. If you are looking at 4 quarts, I seriously doubt this is from the conventional leaking points. Seem more likely to be some catastrophic failure or blow out of the pressure sensor or maybe someone loosened the oil filter when it was running. If there was really 4 qt under it, it was running and I would expect engine damage if it was run in that condition. Ray Durkee T37 #373
