I presume that the 2800-3000 rpms are taken from the lower pulley on the engine as that seems to be the crankshaft. If that is turning at 2800 and ,according to Sherwood the pump (r30g) should turn at 4000 for optimum output the pulley on the pump should be 2/3 the size of the one on the crankshaft.
Am I right on this equation?
I ask this as I have been told my pump pulley looks large but it is 3/4 the size of my crankshaft pulley and that would make it almost right on, Would it not?
