That old strut really needed to be replaced! You could drill a hole in it and insert a 4" disk zinc as many do to protect your new strut. It would seem with that much corrosion on your old one, that this boat had, at one time, been in a very bad electrical field, has a bad ground, or had no other zincs on the shaft. You might want to check your wiring to see if you have an internal AC leak somewhere. I have never seen one that pink and the prop looks like it got zapped too. Maybe it is just the tone of the picture???

The yard said the same thing about the corrosion. They and I went over it and found no wiring problems. In the couple years I've had the boat, I keep her at my condo where it is not plugged into shore power. They pulled the zincs off and got tossed before inspection. All we can figure is they were far gone, and I hadn't noticed. Could figure that a previous owner had the problem while plugged into shore power, however the prop is only a year old and has not had any significant time plugged in. So, something I'll be watching. I'm open to any suggestions.

The yard, Maximo in St Pete, FL, sent off for the strut to be built. So, I don't guess it's a stock part with a part number.

In my old marina I had a problem with rust on the engine. It was significant. I kept zincs renewed regularly but still had the problem. I read about galvanic isolators and purchased/installed one. Now it could be that moving the boat helped....but my rust/corrosion problems have disappeared.
