Hello T37 lovers,

I have a problem. It seems that many of the popularly priced wheel helms out there have a lower displacement limit than our T37s. My old system finally became unreliable and I removed it. I miss having it, but the expense for a hydraulic helm system that will accurately hold course for two tons of love is over the top for me. I`m a Lake Michigan sailor so deal with plenty of heavy chop. Have any of you found affordable solutions with reliable performance?

Thank you in advance for any advice!

Vahevala

check out CPT auto pilot Inc. If I was to have an emergency auto pilot in the event of a failure with my stand alone I would go with one of these

I've cruised thousands of miles from the US east coast, the Bahamas, and down through the Caribbean to Grenada with the CPT steering nearly the entire time.

Another vote for CPT, mine has steered many miles. Low power consumption and no noise. I ordered it for reverse mounting so it is not in the way of my feet and I can engage it with a push from my toe. It’s KISS and has no interfaces.
