I have a large style CNG tank (empty) that I no longer need. Free. Located in Baltimore.

I just had a tank go bad and need another one. One question, when was the last hydro test on the tank?

Paul,

From what I can tell from the numbers on the tank, it looks like maybe 1986? Seems a bit hard to believe. This tank was on the boat when I bought her in January and when I used up the fuel in it, I decided to go with smaller ones which are much easier to get refilled around here.

You might check out this web site. I found it accurate for Maryland.

I recently put in a new-to-me Origo stove and oven so I don't need my CNG tanks (nor my vintage oven). I had one tank hydroed about two years ago, the other is of unknown age but looks good. You pay the shipping and you may have them all or one or part.

The Origo stove is but a two burner and it is just a bit skinnier than the original stove but now I can buy fuel at Home Depot/ Lowe's or wherever.

I have noticed a decided reduction in the number of places you can get tanks filled. They all want to 'exchange' tanks. This makes it hard to install the tank below deck. There was a major filling accident that resulted in a number of deaths in Toronto and I believe this is why.
Is this happening in other areas?
