Howdy good people and well wishes in the new year!

We are just beginning the search for Raconteur's new custodian!

We have had the boat 5 years and done a bit of work to her while sailing predominantly out of mid-coast Maine. We have decided to move into slightly larger boat (read: big project) and are looking to pass our beloved Tartan along. She is fairly clean and we will certainly miss her.

The Boat:

We bought her in what was fairly good condition, with very sound hull and deck/ cabin house, but wanting a bit of elbow grease and age appropriate updates to get her back to form.

As she sits, the hull and deck/cabin trunk are completely sound with no soft spots. Topsides were re-finished with a 2-part prior to us, although its not a Bristol polished finish, but looks nice enough to our eye. Inboard of the toe rail its all original gelcoat and silvered teak. There are a couple of cracks in the gel coat right where the cockpit coming meets the companionway bulkhead, but otherwise unblemished.

Since then, we have done the following significant work:

~20'- a new 130%Genny built by Gamble and Hunter in Camden (slightly heavier 8oz, but holds shape beautifully in light air)

~20'- repower with a new/used Beta 35 currently 800hrs: She motors happily at 6.5+kts
-new 1" shaft and cutlass (factory 2 blade)

~20' -new lower shrouds (all 4)

~19' -new Cap shrouds

other items include: Spreader lights, masthead light, some renewed mast wiring, loud hailer speaker, new battery monitoring system, renewed stuffing in Rudder post, new steering cable, cleaned quadrant, propane stove/ oven, pressure cold water (foot pump at galley), hot tank comes with, needs new gasket, Furuno radar, Freedom 10 inverter/charger, Possible solar panels with stern davits. Refrigeration in the icebox, looks clean and runs well, but I assume is due for a recharge. Recently renewed stainless fuel tank (50gal)

recent sail cover, 1 serviceable lighter air genny, one pretty beat laminate genny, in mast halyards, some recent running rigging with some new lines aboard yet to be installed.
Pertinent spares, lines, other fun stuff to go with the boat.

35lb CQR with ~60' of 3/8" chain + 3 strand, 25lb CQR with rhode.

Winter cover and frame available as well.

Surely lots more

Happy to go over anything in more detail and send pictures along.

Thanks for looking!

Steve

I guess a price would help... $35,000 as she sits.

Thanks for looking!
