I am on the hard in Norfolk and planning on launching and departing down the ICW in mid November. I am in need of a small dinghy to tow and turtle on the foredeck. It has to be light enough to handle alone. Does anyone have or know of one for sale that would be suitable? What are the types of dinghys that have proven efficient for other members? thanks.#337

Keep a lookout on Craigslist. The truth the last four years going down the Ditch, we didn't use the dinghy till Fla. We're in Norfolk will keep a Lookout for you.

There was one 9ft trihull for $150, on Craigslist for Norfolk, but it's actually location is Deltaville.

I think we're planning on leaving Norfolk to head south, the first of Nov. Depending on weather, how fast we travel
We speed up when it's cold. Keep a lookout for Puff Card with green canvas. Walter

Thanks Walt. I will probably be a couple of weeks behind due to this being my first real look at the bottom and how much work I will have. I hauled and had to vacate so I haven't seen the bottom dried out. I will try to just get the boat ready to push on for mid November and as this is my first time down the ICW i won't be catching up or setting any records. any advice on the route for someone doing it solo. As I don't really know the boat that well I will probably confine myself inside and spend most of my free time on Westie maintenance, fuel filter changes and keeping an eye on the cooling system.
