I have an original Atkins and Hoyle forward hatch for sale. Had the lens replaced, still leaks around the knobs. Tired of messing with it. Make me an offer.

What is the replacement ? I went with a model popular with posts on this forum. What was your selection?

Itís actually a pretty easy fix. There is a standard seal that you can buy from an auto parts store (I forget the size but the old one can be the reference) that goes in that space. I take the top piece off every few years and put a dab of grease on the seal. The problem of the A&H cover dumping water below when it is opened with water on top is another issue! When I asked the A&H rep about that at the boat show, he suggested that I buy a new A&H cover! Fat chance!

Did you have to do any excavation for the 3 hinges? If so, how did that go?

I did have to grind some out. Also had to grind out a little for the latches. Went pretty smooth. Just used a router bit and the router attachment on my dremel.
