Westerbeke 50 Oil Capacity

I am getting ready to change the oil in my Westerbeke 50 for the first time. I can't find in my manuals what the capacity should be. I also plan to use Rotella T 15W-40. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks

The manual,,, attached,,, says 4.5 qts BUT with that said. I think 4.5 is too much since, just my opinion, the engine is slanted such that when I try to drain it I don't get all of it out and some stays in the rear of the engine. When you pull the dip stick, it's not going to be the same level on both sides,,, evidence of what I'm talking about. So, I just add 4. Food for thought !!!

I use about 4.5qts. I don't use Fram, go with the NAPA Gold 1515 and per-fill the filter with oil before screwing on. Your oil pressure comes up right away, vise waiting for the engine's oil pump to fill the filter. It's a much better filter. I also use the single 30 weight oil. DON'T OVER FILL.

I rarely get more then 3 quarts when I pull the oil out through the dipstick sleeve.

And.the oil filter is close to another quart. I pull from a fitting on the drain plug and get close to a gal.
