Some of our boats are now approaching 35 years old and even the younger ones are 25 or so. The new T-3700 sells for well into the 300's and this got me thinking: "What did our original 37's sell for new in 1977 or 1986?" I have never heard a figure before, so if anyone out there knows the answer, I would find it interesting.
Thanks,
Tom

Mine was a 1979 model and I saw something around written about $58,000. The PO was the original owner, note sure what options come with it for that price.

Thats what I have heard, somewhere around $60,000 +/-

Pretty cool that they have maintained their value and when well cared for, get even more, I true testimate to the quality of the design & build.

That is pretty cool that they've maintained the price range 'cept for that inflation thingy......now if we could just get an adjustment for that we would actually have a sound investment...better than what the stock market is doing!!! Snicker

I have an old 76 price list[and a spare original owners manual if somebody really wants one]
Standard base price was $57,000. included everything[anchor, life jackets, fire extinguishers etc] but NOT sails. Freight and commisioning to East coast, $1800 Cradle $250, and a guess of $2000 for main and genoa. Bruce.

That is $68,250 in 1976. Using a CPI Calculator http://146.142.4.24/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl I get $275,150 in 2012. That's pretty close to the $300,000s for a T3700 quoted above.

More reason to Keep On Sailin'!

Thanks John,
Pretty interesting. Makes me feel good about Tortuga's Lie and unless the Lotto people come calling, I'll be sticking with her Cheers
