On July 16th thru 18th Lake Erie Tartan Sailors (L.E.T.S) will be hosting the 50th anniversary of Tartan at the Huron Boat Basin in Huron Oh. They are trying to get at least 50 Tartans at the show. There is always a great time to be had by everyone. You never know who will show, last year Tim Jackett showed up. So spead the word and let every one you know with a Tartan, or if you just want to show up that would be fantastic. For further information contact Gene at "easail@aol.com".

Nope. Haven't been tuned into any Tartan/C&C drama.

Man I wish I could take a few weeks off and sail to OH. Short of a lottery win, I don't think that will happen. (Work really gets in the way of my sailing habit! Postal )

I don't have much of an opinion either way as most of what has been going on does not affect me, but it's sad to read about. SailNet took down the thread after being "strong armed" by Tartan/Novis. Then a thread was started on Anything-Sailing which documents most if not all of the going ons. You can read more about it here: http://www.anything-sailing.com/tartan- ... -t227.html

I'd focus on the rendezvous... sounds like it will be good again.

For those on or near the Chesapeake: The Chesapeake Bay Tartan Sailing Club (CBTSC) and Tartan/C&C Annapolis are sponsoring a 50th anniversary celebration at Port Annapolis Marina for the 4th of July weekend if anyone is interested. Should be great fun. My wife and I went to the 45th in St. Michaels and that was well attended with lots of events and great food/people. See the link for the 50th:

Cheers
